| MPCB seeks consultants for e-waste assessment |

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has received financial and technical assistance from United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) to carry out e-waste (electronic waste) assessment study for the Mumbai and Pune Region. Part of the project will be funded by the Board. MPCB now invites technical and financial proposal from domestic expert consultancy agencies/organizations for carrying out this study. Tender documents will be issued to those fulfilling the following criteria.
- Any company/organization/agency, which has carried out e-waste assessment for any city in India or outside India.
- Company/ organization having annual turnover of Rs. 1 Crore (Rs.10 Million) or more for last three financial years and net worth of Rs. 1 Crore (10 Million) and above.
- Company/ organization having work experience in the area of environment protection and waste management in Maharashtra will be given preference.
The expected time frame for completion of the study is six months. Interested companies/ organizations/ agencies in India or outside India are requested to send their capability profile consisting of brief background of the organization, project profiles, adequate qualified manpower and documentary evidence fulfilling the above criteria for issuance of tender documents before December 5, 2005.
MPCB will issue the tender documents after scrutinizing the capability profile by December 15, 2005. MPCB reserves the right to reject applications without giving any reasons thereof.
